Find Your New Best Friend! Adopt Today!

The Adoption Process

  • Find the cat you would like to adopt at one of our adoption locations below.
  • Fill out an application and be approved.
  • Pay the adoption fee.
  • Make a difference in your new best friend's life!

$65 - Cats
$85 - Kittens

Your adoption fee ensures that your cat will be spayed/neutered, wormed, vaccinated, flea-free and tested for FeLV and FIV. We do not discount cats. The difference in adoption fees is to give an adult cat the same chances for adoption as a kitten.

We care about the welfare of our cats and kittens, therefore we require an adoption form to be filled out and approved by a CLAWS representative. All families who adopt will be contacted for a follow-up on how their new cat/kitten is doing and to answer any questions you might have.

CLAWS Adoption Locations

As our organization is operated by volunteers, we do not keep regular business hours. To schedule an appointment to visit the shelter, please contact us at:

(970) 241-3793

or see some of our adoptable cats at the locations below!.

CLAWS holds adoptions at PetSmart each and every weekend! Join us there and take home your new best friend. In addition to our weekend adoption events, CLAWS has cats at PetSmart all week long in the Luv-A-Pet section.

CLAWS has kitties available for adoption at Petco throughout the week!

All of our adoptable cats and kittens are listed on Petfinder with pictures and descriptions. Check us out!

Chow Down is a local pet supply store that offers healthy pet supplies. They have dedicated a room at their store to house adoptable CLAWS cats. Located near Albertsons in the Redlands. Check them out!

Barn Cats!

CLAWS is in need of outdoor homes for cats that are semi-wild, feral or unadoptable and would be ideal as "barn cats".

If you have a barn, horse stable, shed, warehouse, or any other type of shelter on your property, and are in need of "pest control", consider a "barn cat". They are wonderful mousers, and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you saved a cat's life! Barn cats are fiercely loyal and you may just end up with a new best friend!

All barn cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated for Rabies and Distemper, and ear-tipped for identification.

Despite a common misconception, cats can't survive on mice alone. The owner must agree to provide food, water and shelter for the rest of the cat's life.

A donation of $25 is appreciated for the adoption of a barn cat.

Call (970)241-3793 or Email us for a barn cat today!
