Surrendering a Cat to CLAWS ...

Sometimes it is necessary to surrender a pet. Although surrendering a cat to a local agency may be difficult it is ALWAYS preferable to releasing it into the wild or leaving it behind if a family has to move. Abandoned animals suffer the most and often starve to death locked up in homes before anyone knows they are there and in need of help. Local agencies do the best they can to relocate these animals with new families.

CLAWS does accept cats in need of new situations.
We are an ADOPTION GUARANTEED ORGANIZATION. This means that we DO NOT EUTHANIZE animals when space runs out. Once CLAWS has accepted your cat it is given a permanent, safe place to stay until a new home can be found.

Please call (970-241-3793) to see if we have space available and receive instructions.

Surrender fee: $65

PLEASE DO NOT leave animals at the shelter when no one is here.
